Sandbox Conferences BACK FROM A GREAT PICNIC IN AMSTERDAM

BACK FROM A GREAT PICNIC IN AMSTERDAM

September 29th, 2008 by Nico Luchsinger

Antoine and I just came back from the PICNIC conference that took place last week in Amsterdam. It was a truly amazing experience. PICNIC is much more than just a conference, it feels more like a big festival, with dozens of presentations, hundreds of workshops and a lot of other interesting things going on at the great Westergasfabriek location. We heard some great speeches (for example an Israeli conductor who explained how conducting an orchestra relates to management, an artist who let people draw 10’000 sheep online and a guy that connects rabbits) and met a lot of awesome people. Antoine and I also spent quite some time at the PICNIC Club (pictured above) where, among many other things, there was a “Make new friends and get free beers” booth. We made lots of new friends!

Oh, and we also organized two Sandbox dinners while being in Amsterdam. We’ll blog about those soon!
