Nairobi On Fire – Part 2
April 26th, 2011 by Brad FitchewSandbox Africa is taking shape: at the second official Sandbox Nairobi-event, exciting agribusiness-entrepreneurs joined TED-style designers, boundary-pushing UN-diplomats and gender right activists. Many thanks to the co-organizers Philippa Young and Alicia Sully, who brought together great people and great food for an inspiring evening.

It was revealed at the event that the East Africa Social Enterprise Network (EASEN), Africa’s leading social entrepreneurship network, is looking to build a powerful new support network for entrepreneurs.; Mark Kaigwa and Wilfred Mutua of Afrinnovator.com an online media outlet aiming to “put Africa on the map” by tracking African start-ups were amongst excited guests. This atmosphere was catalysed further by the unique sound of Just-A-Band, who have announced that they will collaborate with the Swedish artist Ulrika (sister to our Nairobi Ambassador Sebastian Lindstroem).
The next Nairobi Sandbox dinner will be co-organized with Africa Yoga Project during one of their community classes. If you know any potential Sandboxers in Kenya then please don’t hesitate to get in touch:sebastian@whattookyousolong.org.

Sebastian Lindstroem is our first Sandbox Ambassador in Africa. Whilst part of the Sandbox Live! team is currently visiting Nairobi, together they are taking Sandbox in Africa to the next level. If you are a potential Sandboxer based in South Africa please add yourself to the notification list: http://www.sandbox-network.com/decentral-candidates/
