Supermodels strip for climate change
October 24th, 2009 by SandboxSupermodel, Ivy-league student, social entrepreneur and Sandbox member Cameron Russel is the producer of this video aimed to draw attention on climate change. 350 is the number of parts per million (ppm), which an overwhelming number of scientists now insist is the safe upper limit for carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Her action joins the 5,242 Simultaneous planned events on climate happening today in 181 Countries in what is the largest day of environmental action in the World’s history. Cameron, 23, has been working as a model since the age of 16. She has worked with numerous successful photographers and was on the cover of Vogue, W, Self Service and Numéro. She was featured in advertising campaigns and in runway fashion shows for designers including Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Prada or Dolce & Gabbana. An avid cylclist and marathon runner, Cameron currently lives in New York and studies economics and mathematics at Columbia University. She is also a social entrepreneur, who recently founded Interview New York, a non profit public art project asking the same three questions to everyone in New York City: What are you proud of? What are you scared of? What gives you hope?
