Paul is currently the Sandbox Ambassador in Washington DC is passionate about growing Sandbox in the US as Head of Business Marketing. Paul just completed a Masters in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics where he also coordinated the Entrepreneur Society’s Pitch It Business Plan Competition.

Before LSE, he was director of a regional Information Communication Policy portfolio at the U.S. Department of State, where he worked on projects ranging from management of ministerial level conferences to helping implement an innovative telemedicine project in Pakistan. One of the highlights of his time at the Department of State was meeting Vint Cerf and Bob Khan, the two scientists credited with creating the internet. Before his run in with the founders of modern communication, he served as a research consultant at the World Bank exploring the impact of microfinance on the poorest (in the process developing a strong interest in mobile banking).

Paul graduated from the George Washington University Elliott School of International Affairs where he studied International Economics. While at GW, Paul spent a semester in Freiburg, Germany (living in one of the most environmentally sustainable communities in the world) and developed a love for biking, especially the kind involving cross border vineyard hopping. Paul is a photography and travel enthusiast and hopes to make it around the world sooner rather than later. As an undergrad, he gained experience working at a think tank, a small lobbying firm, a catering company, and was a co-founder in a startup. The strangest job he’s ever had was selling doors door to door during a summer in high school…it seemed like a good idea at the time.
