August 26, 2011: Lisbon wins the race to host the Sandbox Global Summit 2012
Lisbon has been unanimously chosen by the jury over the other two finalists – Istanbul and Singapore. The Summit will be held on January 20-22, 2012, and it has the official support of Lisbon’s City Council.

July 13, 2011: Winners of the Thought For Food Challenge announced!
In March 2011, we started collaborating with Syngenta to launch the Thought For Food Challenge, an initiative to help unlock the potential of energetic young people to solve the world’s most pressing food problems. Four months later the three winning teams from Imperial University, Reading University and Wageningnen University will now prepare to attend One Young World.
