Sandbox looking for Intern Zurich Head Office

ABOUT THE POSITION
- Start date: January 2011
- Duration: min. 3 months, preferably 5-12 months
- We are looking for an Intern who supports our activities at the Sandbox Headquarters here in Zurich. There is not one perfect profile but millions of it. We love diversity and don’t care if you came the classical way or prefer non-traditional career paths.
- You are interested in social networks and have a sensitive understanding for communication in general? Ideally your proficiency level of English is close to native (or even native/bilingual) and you maybe also speak one other language.
- You love innovation, feel comfortable in a constantly changing environment and you are just plain curious about everything. You actively live new technologies like twitter, skype, facebook, blogs…
- Some event management experience would also be a plus.
- The people in our network are passionate about having an impact in this world, they want to make a change and actually make things happen. Ideally you do, too.
- We can currently offer you a salary of CHF 600.- per month, which is enough to pay for your room, but not enough to cover your other costs.
WHAT YOUR JOB IS ALL ABOUT
- You will be the main moderator of the online community. A highly important and crucial role within Sandbox’ core activities.
- Furthermore you will be responsible for membership administration, for example pre-screening of potential members and the coordination of the process.
- You support our communication via various channels for example by writing blog posts, updating our website and serving as a point of contact for people interested in Sandbox.
- There will be some research tasks for newsletters, presentations and consulting services from time to time and you will be taking care of the logistics of our events.
LOW SALARY, BUT…
- Sandbox additionally covers your travel expenses to and from Switzerland
- Very flexible working hours. As long as you finish your tasks and hours you can work at the day and night time you prefer.
- You will be working mostly with your laptop, so you don’t have to work from our office everyday. Work from home, outside and or from a café.
- A dynamic team which will integrate you fully from day one, you will be able to bring in your own ideas
- Participation at conferences, partner & talent events, etc.
- We assist you with finding an apartment in Zurich
- We will take you skiing for one day in the Swiss Alps
