One hour with Sebastian Lindstrom

Yesterday morning, Julian, Paul, Sara and I had breakfast with Sebastian Lindstrom at Zurich main station, where he was stopping by for one hour on his way to Copenhagen - Paris - Hong Kong and Papua New Guinea, where he should arrive before Christmas.

In one hour, we talked about COP 15 (Sebastian attended the Summit as an observer), Hugo Chavez, and the projects of the What Took You so Long Foundation, an organization that shares skills, experiences and knowledge in support of grass-roots NGOs

In Papua New Guinea - one the world’s most culturally diverse and least explored country, Sebastian aims to do a cross peninsula trek with 6 travelers from Hong Kong. Together, they will pass through four different provinces and live with four very different people, experiencing life from their perspective, and learning about the issues that concern and affect them most. The journey will be documented on video and on the WTYSL blog.

Sebastian also brought us some Christmas gifts, among which 30 big format pictures of his last Africa trip to decorate the office, a book, and 2 Landjaeger (Swiss dried sausages)!

His energy is amazing and very communicative; we couldn’t think of a better way to kick off our business strategy workshop (more to come about this soon). “Let’s make this happen, BOOM!” As he would say :-)

At the latest news, it seems that Sebastian is stuck in Paris due to the severe weather conditions. He will be happy to meet people there; don’t hesitate to contact us to get his details if you are around!
