Wladimir Nikoluk

Take John Wilmot, Oscar Wilde, Joseph Stiglitz, Duma‘s d’Artagnan and Alexander Pushkin and you have some of the most important individuals that influenced Wladimir Nikoluk.
Born in the Ukraine, raised in Germany and having participated in exchanges to Kosovo, France and the UK, Wladimir feels fortunate to live in a globalized world. After working 6 months as the Sandbox community manager in Zurich, he is currently studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of Oxford. As our Sandbox Ambassador there he’s in charge of organizing kick-ass events and building a strongly knit community of exceptional young people from all academic backgrounds. In June 2010, Wladimir graduated from High School, where he was elected head boy for two years. At the same time, he was the school’s representative in a cooperation project with Deutsche Bank and a member of the executive committee of a political youth organization in Frankfurt.
After his final examinations Wladimir left for India, where he spent six months as a volunteer in Prem Sewa, an Indian boys’ hostel, teaching English and Music to children with difficult social backgrounds and later traveling 8500km around India.
In his free time Wladimir likes to do sports, especially swimming and boxing. He loves to play guitar, to read different kinds of literature and is passionate about discussing current events and books with inspiring people. Following his belief that success usually comes to those who are too busy to be looking for it, he is enjoying an inspiring and busy time in Oxford.
