Vote for Stephen & GreenSoul Shoes!
August 31st, 2009 by Fabian Pfortmüller
Meet New York based Sandboxer Stephen Chen. Stephen founded GreenSoul Shoes, with the mission to shoe underprivileged children around the world in an eco-beneficial fashion. They work with local artisans to make a 100% upcycled sandal (a sandal made entirely out of recycled tires and inner tubes). And each shoe sold gives a shoe to a shoeless child in the same community as the shoemaker. Sounds fantastic, no? Now we can help GreenSoul Shoes by voting for them!
GreenSoul Shoes was recently voted as a top 20 finalist in the 2009 Forbes Business Plan Boost Your Business Plan competition and now needs our support to get into the top 5. Watch their video and cast your vote here. Good luck Stephen!
Fabian is co-founder of Sandbox and currently serves as Head of Strategy. However, in 4 days he’s going back to school and he still needs to do 23615284 things before flying to New York. Plus: what should he bring from Switzerland to the US (any suggestions??). He twitters here.
