Founder Jojo Project 26 Brussels, Belgium |
At 23, Matthieu Vaxelaire left investment banking at ING in London to start a shoe brand that supports ecological projects giving the opportunity to people to ‘Choose, Act & Check’. For every pair of shoe sold, Jojo Project gives the buyer the choice between two projects supported by different NGOs : to plant a tree or to participate to the construction of water pumps in Africa. These shoes are also the first ones in the world to be delivered by carrier pigeon ! Matthieu is passionate about business getting his first subscription to a business magazine at the age of 11 ! He loves connecting like-minded people at dinners he organizes as founder of Kicktbable, an online platform offering tickets for face-to-face events. This latest project arose from the idea that our generation spends a lot of time behind computers and mobile phones, being connected ‘online’ but missing the part of being ‘physically’ connect.
