Weekly inspiration #7: No change and nerd fun
OK, so you may have noticed that our last weekly inspiration post was published more than a week ago. Very sorry about that, we promise it won’t happen again. Here’s what caught our attention over the last weeks – if you have some additions, leave them in the comments or just drop me a line.
Change or not? Julian Sanchez pokes fun at the ridiculous rhetoric of some self-appointed spokespeople for the “young generation” who keep insisting that “the rules have all changed”. And Noah Brier thinks about what is actually changing: It’s Zillionics, the “state of supreme abundance”.
Nerd fun: Here’s a great video of a UC Berkeley halftime show re-enacting old video games. Then, there’s this awesome visualization of time travel in film and TV [thanks, Thierry]. And best of all (at least if you’re a guy), here’s an elaborate discussion of calculating which urinals guys pick. Yes, really.
Great ideas: Printing bad reviews of your restaurant on t-shirts of your staff. Hiring a writer-in-residence for an airport. And using scratching as an input device.
…and my personal favorite for this week: “You’re a little company, now act like one.” And drop all that meaningless blabla from your About page.
Nico has co-founded Sandbox and carries the imaginary job title Senior Engineer for Unexpected Insights. He looks really forward to start the week on Monday with a 7am meeting with Sandbox CEO Antoine.

Yes, Nico :). Luckily, La Stanza has the strongest coffee in town for our early morning meetings.
