Here is an overview of things we came across and that inspired us last week:
ART 2.0
With new technologies, the only limit to creativity is your imagination. Make sure to watch this great video clip by the guys from the Neurosonics Audiomedical Lab.
Awaken the artistic skill inside you and create your own pieces of art: with this amazing art installation, everyone can do body-painting without risking getting dirty. If you feel uninspired, try to make your own Pollock painting on this page and send us your best pieces: we will publish them on this blog!
YouTube also makes some art masterpieces accessible from home, like “4’33″, a piece for silent orchester by John Cage which is in some way the musical equivalent of Malevichs “White on White”. Funny is to see how the audience behaves: people stay absolutely silent during the movements and cough heavily in between, just like during an ordinary symphony.
MONEY
Learn about the science of pricing in this great article and you probably won’t look at a restaurant menu the same way again.
Ever thought money can’t buy happiness? Research shows that it can, but not everything you buy will make you equally happy: taking a friend to lunch will make you happier than buying a new outfit.
CORPORATE CULTURE
Companies often don’t get Twitter the right way. Learn what’s wrong on this page (in German only).
Finally, have a look at Le Grand Content, a video that examines the philosophical potential of the Powerpoint culture. “Of course, it totally fails this assignment, but in its failure it still manages to produce some magical nuance and shades between the great topics death, cable tv, emotions and hamsters.”
Antoine is the CEO of Sandbox and loves to travel. In the next weeks, he will be in Venice, Brussels and London; you can follow him on Dopplr if you want to meet up somewhere.
